WVR Overview: You'll pass through stunning scenery, discover historical landmarks, and connect with local communities. Experienced walkers will encounter a challenging new race opportunity. Social walkers can get together with friends and family to discover the bountiful Willamette Valley. To participate, you'll join a team of walkers, rent a van, and walk the course in relays. Rest stops and water are provided along the way, as well as activities, games, and a few surprises. Course contests will offer teams, including participants in the vans, opportunities to win awards. And, of course, you'll be walking a course that is safe, well-organized, and prepared for you to get the most enjoyment from this experience.

"We've participated all 3 years and this is the best one yet!"
--Jerry Britsch

"I felt as if the people involved in the race actually cared about us -- we'd have people making sure everything was OK at the staging areas, then WOW committee officials would drive by and chat, then the motorcycle people would come by.... made me feel everyone involved had a concern that the event be safe and fun for everyone."
--WVR volunteer

"Just wanted to let you know what a wonderful event the Willamette Valley relay was. It was two of my friends first time doing a relay and they can’t stop talking about it. We are so looking forward to it next year. Keep up the good work"
-- Robin Boespflug, first time participant

"The 2006 WVR Relay was, once again, a great experience. The weather cooperated, the course was well marked, the volunteers were outstanding and the guys on motorcycles were omnipresent. Thanks, Judy, for giving us these wonderful two days."
-- WVR Team for the last 3 years
