Willamette Valley Family 5K Walk 2009

In conjunction with the Lane Coalition for Healthy Active Youth, we are proud to introduce the Willamette Valley Family 5K or less Walk!  We want to promote exercise for children and the family.  What better way than a walk in the park.  Get your family and hit the trails!

All walkers under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult guardian.

Start Times: Saturday, July 18th, 2009.

Cost:

$5.00 per family member over the age of 10.

Fee is capped at $40.00 for any sized family.

LCHAY is The Lane Coalition for Healthy Active Youth.

LCHAY’s mission is to prevent childhood obesity and related diseases by mobilizing the community to adopt active lifestyles and healthful nutrition.

LCHAY convenes, connects and collaborates with concerned citizens and representatives from dozens of area programs, organizations and agencies to improve child health and wellness; improving access and creating opportunities for better nutrition and enhanced physical activity environments.  Through education, advocacy and outreach they work to raise community awareness about the alarming rise of childhood obesity and related health consequences for our children; and to act on solutions.
