Pumpkin Caper
5K and 10K Walk, October 28, 2007, Beaverton, OR

Overview of the Pumpkin Caper: There is no better way to celebrate the Fall season and kick-off Halloween than with a refreshing, brisk walk. That is why we would like you to join Wonders of Walking for a flat, 5K walk. Winding your way through Fanno Creek and Greenway Park in Beaverton, this fast 5K is perfect for those who may want to challenge themselves for a quick 3.1 mile time or those who wish to casually walk amongst friends and family.

Start: October 28, 2007, Beaverton, OR.

Race day registration begins at 7:30AM, race starts at 9:00AM.

The race start begins at SW Creekside and Stratus entering the Fanno Creek greenway trail by the Historic Farm House. Parking is available in the 8500 SW Creekside Business parking lot. For map see below.

Saturday 10/20 register at packet pickup: Marriott Courtyard - Beaverton 11AM - 1PM

Day of registration begins at 7:30AM

Cost: $20 for registrations received before 10/8/07. $25 for registrations received between 10/9/07 and 10/19/07. Day of race registration is $30, and begins at 7:30AM.  Pre-registered participants can purchase the incredible Pumpkin Caper t-shirts for $10.00 (Only pre-registered participants are guaranteed a t-shirt.)

Packet Pick-Up: Pick up your packet and number at the Marriott Courtyard - Beaverton on Saturday, October 20, 2007 11AM - 1PM. Participants can also pick up their packets on race day, at the start location, from 7:30AM to 8:45AM.

Awards: This event is open to walkers of all capabilities - competitive, fitness or social. Competitive category awards go to the first three finishers in the following categories:

• Men & Women:
• Open (39 and under)
• Masters (40-59)
• Grand Masters (60+)

For the racewalk and Nordic Poles divisions, awards go to the first three finishers each, men and women. All walkers, including Walk Our Way, will receive a congratulatory, finishers medal!

Costume Contest: Halloween costumes are encouraged, but not required. Participants will vote on "best costume" and the winner will take home a great gift!!
