Dear Friends,
2010 is upon us. As the calendar page turns, this is a good month to chart your course for the year. What is a New Year’s resolution but a desire attached to an attempt to improve? What do you want to accomplish? What is missing? Be realistic, take small steps towards the larger goal, and you will get there.
Having fun is an important component of any successful undertaking. We, at WOW, do have fun with all of the trainings, programs and events. As we look forward to a healthy, safe and fun 2010, I think it important we reflect on a few highlights of a difficult 2009: We successfully launched the WOW Walk Club hosted by REI Clackamas. We now have two locations from which to walk - Portland and Clackamas REI; our next location of interest is Bend, Oregon.
The 5K, 10K, Half Marathon Training program is very popular for those desiring to get moving, improve fitness, speed, train for Portland to Coast, or performance at any distance. We are expanding this year to include a WALK ONLY half marathon training
for Portland’s first Half Marathon October 10, 2010, as well as Victoria Half on the
same date.
The Sisters Stride is growing! We launched the team concept for 2009 and look forward to building on that for 2010.

WALK CLUB NEWS: Introducing Visitor Day
To celebrate our Clackamas Walk Club's one year anniversary and our Portland Walk Club's five year anniversary we are introducing Visitor Day.
On February 6, 2010, WOWzers are invited to bring a buddy to walk at the Clackamas Walk Club. On March 20, 2010, WOWzers are invited to bring a buddy to walk at the Portland Walk Club.
