Greetings! WOW and participants ushered in fall with the fun Sisters Stride into Autumn on September 23. Sisters, Oregon is a beautiful community nestled in Central Oregon. The third weekend of September is how we choose to launch into fall with 10K and 15K distances, competitive and non-competitive divisions. We added a 'fun run' component to the 10K, at the request of walkers with family members who like to participate, too. Many thanks to the Sisters Athletic Club for hosting the Sisters Stride.
You can read all about it in the Sisters newspaper, The Nugget.
Mark your calendars for September 21, 2008 - Sisters Stride Into Autumn 2008!

WVR 2008
Important Message for WVR 2008 Participants!
The registration for next summer's most amazing experience is already open and will close on December 1, 2007. For next year, our situation is a bit different. In order to assure the success and survival of WVR, we need 50 teams to sign up and pay by December 1st. WVR 2008 will feature the relay, the half relay and additional events to be held in Alton Baker Park. As the WOW Committee hones the tactical plan, walkers can look forward to bigger and better signage, more wildlife and perfect weather. Okay, maybe not perfect!
We are asking for your help for WVR 2008

eight-year study of 13,000 people found that those who walked 30 minutes a day had
a significantly lower risk of premature death than those who rarely exercised.
